Unlocking the Perception Trait In Remnant 2
To unlock the Perception Trait in Remnant 2, you have to complete the Stagnant Manufactory dungeon. It is an optional dungeon in The Dark Horizon DLC.
The area is somewhat tricky and filled with challenges. But if you follow the steps outlined below, you can get your hands on the Perception trait along with other rewards.
Step 1: Finding The Stagnant Manufactory Dungeon
If you’re starting fresh on a Remnant 2 run, make your way to Anterior Recess. Once you’re there, follow the path in the Overworld Agronomy Sector. You’ll need to use a glider to make your way through the area.
As you land, move ahead until you reach a room with a button. Interacting with this button will open a door behind you.
Step 2: Moving Through the Dungeon
Proceed through the room carefully. You’ll find a corpse on the floor with a Tome of Knowledge and a random ring.
The large room will be patrolled by enemies. Avoid detection, as getting caught will reset your progress and close the door behind you.
Make your way inside the area, and you’ll finally come across a room with the Bypass Primer ring.
Step 3: Go To The Room With Two Doors
Continue on your journey until you reach a room with a red stone at its center. Here, you’ll notice two doors. The one on the left is open, while the one on the right is closed.
Before activating the control panel in the room, make sure to explore the left side completely. Once you activate it, the right door will open. However, the left door will also close, and you’ll not be able to go through that. After you’ve fully explored the left side, go ahead and activate the control panel.

Step 4: Entering The Left Side
Proceed through the left-door elevator and make your way through till you drop down into another room. Listening to the audio log will give you some insight into the area.
This area features noxious gas that you have to avoid. Shoot the purple canisters to release the gas. Then, push forward through it to minimize contamination damage.
You can try running past the enemies in this area. However, you may need to deal with them if required.
Step 5: Grabbing The Perception Trait
As you continue through, you’ll eventually reach a room with an elite enemy and a glowing yellow opening.
Before you climb up through the opening, make sure to drop down through a small hole that you’ll see nearby. Going through the yellow opening locks you out from re-entering this area, so explore the lower level first.
Once you drop down, make your way through it. You’ll come across a ledge with the Exhaust Valve item.
After you grab the item, go through the whole section again. This time, directly climb up the yellow chamber and make your way through it. You’ll find a room with enemies guarding a switch.
After you defeat them, flip the switch on to unlock the Perception Trait in Remnant 2. You’ll also get a new Safeguard perk.
With the Perception Trait now acquired, head back to the room with the red stone. This time, go through the right door. As you enter, you’ll face off against an aberration. After defeating it, you’ll receive the weapon Superheated mutator. This is the last reward that you get in the dungeon.
Here’s a table of the various rewards you can find in the Dungeon:
