Locations To Farm Iron Ore In New World: Aeternum
Players can collect iron ore by mining the many iron veins/nodes found across the island of Aeternum. The resource is found in abundance in the hilly and the mountainous regions of the map.
The Iron Veins on the map have three sizes. Small, medium and large. The veins which are larger in size will take longer to mine using the pickaxe.
The Iron Veins will usually refresh in 15 minutes after which they can be mined again so if you can find a few veins near around each other then you can travel in a loop around those veins in order to farm Iron Ore faster.
Here are some really amazing locations where you can locate and farm Iron ore. You can use these locations as a mining loop which you can repeat to farm Iron Ore faster.
Monarch’s Bluff
Monarch’s Bluff is an area which is available early on to the players in-game and provides optimum opportunities to farm Iron Ore.
Follow this highlighted route in the map above. Fast travel to the bottom left shrine in Monarch’s Bluff and then traverse the short route in the area. You will usually find about 24 Iron Nodes here.
Windsward
This is one of the starting areas of the game. It has locations where you can find Iron Ore but you might have to travel to a few different Iron Veins as this is one of the busiest areas on the map. Check the highlighted spots above.
Look carefully around the areas of Dankfur Hollow and Moe’s Farm as there are Iron Nodes to be found there as well. This is a very busy area in-game so we suggest that you make a late night trip and see if you can farm the veins in a continuous loop.
Everfall
There are several Iron Nodes to be mined around the area of Everfall. Once you leave the town, you can either venture to the North or to the east of Everfall. Check the highlighted spots in the map above. These areas can get very busy at times as it is located near one of the main towns so we would suggest you to make a late night trip and see if you can get into a good farming loop.
- Additionally, if you leave Everfall and venture out to the east, you will find a cave with level 6 enemies inside and you will find a mixture of Iron, Gold and Silver ores too.
- You can also venture north to the Meadow Lake Fishery where you will find more iron veins although, be warned! You will find higher level lost mobs here upto level 18.
- You can find more Iron Nodes inside the cave and the hilly outskirts of the Canary Mine. You will find level 15 corrupted mobs in this location.
Cutlass Keys
There are veins to be found northeast of Cutlass Keys. The locations are marked on the map above.
- Venture north-east from Nyhart’s Anchorage wreck and you will discover a spot to farm Iron. There are several veins here outside of the mob area.
- You can find more nodes around the Graymane Burrow but you will also encounter level 14 enemies there so be prepared!
- If you venture out to the north-east of Cutlass Keys, near around the Brigand Bastion, you can discover more Iron Nodes, you will find some outside of the level 24 mob spawn zone and some inside of it.
Apart from Iron, you will also find Silver and Gold ores here. Try and see if you can get a good farming loop to go and get as many resources as possible. You might find this area usually busy as it is close to a major town and if you find yourself unable to get a loop going then venture out north towards Windsward where more nodes are available. The location is highlighted in the map below.
First Light
This is one of the starting locations and best spots to farm Iron Ore in the early stages of the game. There is an area to the South of First Light where you can find Iron in abundance.The areas have been marked on the map below. Warning: You will find Bobcats here so be prepared!
Why Do You Need Iron in New World: Aeternum
Iron Ore is a resource required for crafting weapons, armor and various items, additionally, it can be used to farm in-game currency; coins by selling the collected Iron at the Trading Post found in the game. Iron Ore is used to craft Iron Bars at smelting stations, which in turn is used to craft weapons, items and armor.
Requirements To Collect Iron Ore In New World: Aeternum
Iron Ore can be mined at Iron Veins using a pickaxe. In order to mine these Iron Veins the player must have certain prerequisites.
Here are the requirements:
- You need to have a pick axe equipped which can either be crafted at the Camp, the Forge or you can buy it from the Trading Post.
- Once you reach level 25 in Mining, you will be able to track Iron on your map.
- You do not need to level up your mining skill to farm Iron Ore as the game allows you to do it from the get go.
Buying Iron Ore From A Trading Post
If you have enough Coins then buying Iron Ore is also an option. As it is an early game resource, you can find huge quantities of it being sold at the Trading Post for a very cheap price, usually 1 Coin, but it can be more if you are in a fresh start server.
