If you have always wanted to own a farmland and grow your own crops and herd livestock, then Farming Simulator 25 is the game for you. One of the biggest and best updates in Farming Simulator 25 is dynamic pastures. If you are looking for the right way to create Dynamic Pastures in Farming Simulator 25, then you are at the right place. Let’s get started.
What Are Dynamic Pastures In Farming Simulator 25
Dynamic Pastures enable you to create pastures as per your choice and not feel constrained by preset game default pastures. You should use dynamic pastures when you want to create a pasture of a particular size of your choice. This gives you the freedom to layout fences in multiple directions (even with bends) unlike the default square/rectangular presets. Let us see how to create dynamic pastures and its pros and cons.
In the above image we can compare dynamic pastures and a static preset pasture. The fence along the bottom left of the field has been laid out using Dynamic Pastures, while the one on the right is the default one.
Creating Dynamic Pastures In Farming Simulator 25
Go into the build menu, navigate to the animals section (represented with a cow symbol), and select the barn for the animal you want to create a pasture for. Under each animal’s menu you will see an array of barns available, each with its own capacity of how many animals it can accommodate. Select the barn and place it where you want it on your field. After placing it on the field you shall be prompted with a text box asking you whether you want to customize the pasture, select yes.
Once you select yes, your barn is placed on the selected area, and you will see two yellow fence posts connected to the entrance of the barn. Move your aim to see from which of the two yellow posts the fence originates from. Move your aim and the fence shall move with your aim, click on points where you want the fence to turn (joints) or just free flow your aim and make your custom boundary. After you’re satisfied with your boundary fence you must end it at the other yellow fence post by connecting the fence to the end post.
After you connect the fence to the end post, you shall be prompted with a text box asking if you would like to plant a meadow, we recommend you select yes (this will let the animals graze at their will and you will not constantly have to feed them).
Note: You can only create dynamic pastures for certain animals. You can build pastures only on the land that you own, and preferably it should have grass and no obstructions.

Things To Know As A Barn Owner
- The first three barns in the build menu for cows can only be used as breeding barns and you would not be able to milk them. For milking them you have to purchase any of the next set of barns in the build menu. Cows will not produce milk with just grass and meadow, they will need to be fed with either silage or hay and water. Buffaloes can be used to mow the grass and reproduce.
- You can obtain wool from all the sheep barns. Sheep and goats can be fed grass, hay, water and meadow(grazing). You can sell grown sheep and goats for a profit. Goats produce milk which can be sold.
- You should invest in horses as you can sell them for profit. The horses will have to be fed with water, sorghum, oats and hay.
- Similar to horses, you can invest in pigs to sell them for profit. You will not have many feeding problems with pigs, they will eat almost anything, and of course water.
- You should have a chicken coop, as you can sell the eggs which they lay or you can sell them whole. They can be fed with barley, sorghum, wheat and mix-feed. You can add roosters to keep the chicken coop lively.
- Bees produce honey which you can sell, also they will increase yield of some crops.
- Many animals can survive on grazing, but when it is winter or snow you will have to keep them inside the barn and provide food for them.
- You can increase the animal capacity of the barn by creating bigger pastures, but keep in mind the game will not deploy all the animals if the number is too large. You will still have those animals, but all of them will not be displayed. For example: if you select to purchase 1000 cows, then you would be able to see a few cows and not the entirety of that number.
Dynamic Or Default Pastures In Farming Simulator 25?
- Dynamic pastures give you the freedom to build a pasture as per your specifications, while default pastures are game presets.
- Cost of building pastures increases and the length of the fence increases.
- You can increase the barn capacity to hold animals by creating bigger pastures than the default ones, hence increasing the overall production of that particular farm animal’s product (e.g. milk, eggs, wool).
- You can increase your overall revenue by building bigger pastures with more animals.
