With the 5.2 update, Genshin Impact has added more stories to its lore and more collectibles and achievements to its roster. The Quenin Quest is a hidden quest, which is part of the “Twisted Extension” World Quest series, based on the lore of a Flower-Feather Clan NPC, Quenin, is set in Ochkanatlan, introduced in the latest update. The ‘Who Am I’ achievement also unlocks once you complete this quest. For you to achieve this feat, we have created this guide covering every detail in this very new update of Genshin Impact 5.2.
How To Unlock The Twisted Extension Quest
This quest is for Nathan and can be unlocked upon completing the “Lost Traveler in the Ashen Realm” chain quests. This involves running across Quenin in five different locations. These five locations can be explored randomly, but it is recommended that you explore locations 2 and 3 first as they both are in walking distance from each other, in order to save time.
Quenin Location #1
For the first location of Quenin, teleport to the northern Cradle of Fleeting Dreams Waypoint and move northeast until you find a Tenebrous Mimesis enemy. Defeat the enemy with Quenin’s help, which then unlocks a dialogue with Quenin. He will introduce himself to you and will tell about his designation in his clan. He will also give a brief on how tough it is to fight these monsters and urges the player to be careful. After this interaction with Quenin, open an Exquisite Chest nearby to obtain rewards.
Quenin Location #2
Use the southern Cradle of Fleeting Dreams Waypoint to jump down to the second location to find Quenin. The fall is long since the waypoint is on the hill peak. As you approach to the ground, you will see storks surrounding the purple legs of an enemy stuck to the ground. Touch them to start another fight, which will summon Quenin to fight alongside with you. Defeating the enemy unlocks a dialogue with Quenin in which he will urge you to leave this cursed place before the vast shadow takes over. After this interaction with Quenin, open an Exquisite Chest nearby to obtain rewards.
Quenin Location #3
Teleport to the northern Cradle of Fleeting Dreams Waypoint. At the broken bridge, jump down and you will come across an Exquisite Chest with two Hilichurls on each side. Open the chest to summon the enemy alongside Quenin to assist you to fight it. Once defeated, a dialogue with Quenin is unlocked where he questions you why are we still lingering here. He also requests you to leave this place as soon as possible as it is cursed. After this interaction with Quenin, open the same Exquisite Chest nearby which spawned the enemy earlier to obtain rewards.
Quenin Location #4
The fourth location of Quenin is in the middle of the island at the second Ochkanatlan Waypoint. You will teleport to the broken bridge and from there jump down on the left onto the broken tower. Get ready for a fight with a Tenebrous Mimesis enemy as soon as you interact with the purple mechanism. After defeating this enemy enter the chamber to open an Exquisite Chest, which will spawn a second Tenebrous Mimesis enemy, this time with Quenin. With the help of Quenin defeat the enemy, which will further unlock a dialogue with Quenin. You will notice that Quenin is out of place and is questioning his very existence with the game hinting that he is long gone from this place. He will urge you to leave this place again. After this interaction with Quenin, open an Exquisite Chest nearby which spawned the enemy earlier to obtain rewards.
Quenin Location #5
The fifth location for Quenin is near the far eastern Ochkanatlan Waypoint. Teleport to the nearby waypoint and from there go west and descend to find a gap with two Ruin Guards standing before each other. Quenin will join you in your fight against them. Once, defeated a dialogue from Quenin will be unlocked in which he will make random statements as he tries to keep his consciousness alive. Between these dialogues, he will give you a hint to come and meet him by the waterfall. After this interaction with Quenin, open an Exquisite Chest nearby to obtain rewards.
The Twisted Extension Quest
This quest location can only be unlocked when the player meets Quenin five times at five different locations. Go to the waterfall as mentioned by Quenin earlier, which is inside the Vision Serpent’s Sanctum. Before you can reach the location, there is a puzzle waiting to be solved. Once that is completed, a Waypoint there leads immediately to Quenin’s small tent. You will get Quenin’s Diary and that unlocks the Twisted Extension quest. You will discover Quenin’s corpse at the end of the waterfall, behind a breakable stone wall. Investigate the body and this time Quenin spawn to fight against you. And with that, the “Who am I” achievement is unlocked!
After this battle against Quenin, open the remarkable chest nearby to obtain rewards, thus completing the “Twisted Extension” Quest.
