Apart from farming and production chains, practicing animal husbandry can also add significantly to your bank account. Every animal except the dog produces products which you can sell or use in your production plant. While profit earned from animals will vary according to the economy difficulty and the in-game calendar, what we have compiled below still remains the list of most profitable animals in farming simulator 25, even accounting for the variations.
Farming Simulator 25: Most Profitable Animal Types
There are 7 animal types which you can use on your farm in Farming Simulator 25, out of which 6 are profitable. Taking good care of them and keeping them well-fed with food and water go a long way in getting you a good animal yield. The animals which generate a profit for you, arranged from best to worst are:
- Pigs
- Cows and Water buffalos
- Goats and Sheep’s
- Chickens
- Horses
- Bees
Let us have an in-depth look at the most profitable animals:
#1: Pigs
Investing in pigs will make you rich, as the profit generated by selling pigs and pig products is quite considerable and they are least fussy animals. We recommend you sell pigs by the time they are 19 months old or 24 months old. You should definitely sell them before they turn 25 months to avoid buying extra pig food and reducing your profit. Pigs can be sold as a whole or for meat, slurry and manure. If you are just starting with animal husbandry then we recommend that you start with pigs and purchase them in large quantities and care for them for a better future profit. Profits can start rolling in within 3 months if you buy 280 pigs.
#2: Cows And Water Buffalo
Water buffalo is one of the newer animals in Farming Simulator 25; and is a highly profitable animal. You can sell bottled milk rather than raw milk for a better profit, as the profit ratio of raw milk to bottled milk is 1:2. From Cow and Buffalo milk you can produce multiple products.
- Water Buffalo: Buffalo Milk Bottled, Buffalo Mozzarella, Butter, Manure & Slurry
- Cows: Milk Bottled, Cheese, Butter, Chocolate (Milk + Sugar), Manure & Slurry

Similar to Cows, even Goat Milk and Goat Milk Bottled has a ratio 1:2; which means that you will earn double by selling bottled goats milk as compared to raw goats milk.
#4: Chickens
You can sell chickens as a whole or you can sell their eggs. The average egg price is : $1431 (per 1000L). The price will not remain constant, it will fluctuate each month. Chickens need very little caring and can be fed with basic grains. Chickens fed with barley and wheat will give maximum profits ( Avg $11.70 per chicken) as compared to chickens fed with sorghum ( Avg $10.12 per chicken). Having roosters in your coop will only help populate the number of chickens, roosters do not produce any product.
#5 : Horses
Horses need proper maintenance and need to be ridden often. You will not receive any produce from horses, you can sell them to earn a profit. They can be used for aesthetic effects like, making your farm look like a horse ranch. The animal pen will charge a $300 fee for selling horses, if you want to save money, transport them to the buyers yourself. Caring for your horse properly for 36 months will result in a selling price of $5000. You have to sell them once they reach this price point, otherwise their value will drop by $100 every month. Many times your horses value can reach $5000 faster if you care for them properly (regular riding, cleaning, food and water).
#6 : Bees
Bees have 0 maintenance cost, they do not need to be fed, you can just purchase bee hives, a honey pallet( only 1 per map) and place them any where on your field. The bees will keep themselves buy and keep producing honey, which you can sell. If you are on a low budget then we recommend you start with bees. They will even increase yields of a few crops. Average selling price of honey is $2730.
